  Belle robe cerise noir avec des rebords fraise. Au nez, ce sont des arômes généreux de cerises, mûres, prunes, toast et une pointe de café. En bouche l’attaque est franche avec un beau fruité, une bonne acidité qui dure sur la longueur et des tannins présents, plutôt astringents et pas particulièrement ronds à ce stade, mais avec l'aération, cela s'améliore. Bonne concentration et amplitude, beau fruit. La longueur est bonne à très bonne. C'est un beau vin qui aurait pu mûrir encore quelques années sans problème - 5-6 ans? Toujours avec des arômes primaires. Il me faudra acheter les 2015 en les stocker 6-8 ans. 90-91

  The cork was completely dry and slid out too easily. Ruby colour with a very slight bricking at the edges. On the nose, there was a bit of a mushroom type funk, underneath which there were aromas of raspberries and brown sugar. The aromas were muddled compared to the clearly defined aromas I had noticed the previous time I had tasted this wine. On the palate, similar flavours as on the nose with the muddled characteristics. Moderate concentration and moderate length. Not as I remembered it. I noticed when I purchased this wine at Manor that some of the bottles appeared to have spent a lot of time there, ie outside of a cellar exposed to dry air conditioning, light etc... This may have affected the cork and wine more than in the previous bottle. I have one more of these and hope it will be in better shape. Regardless, next time, I will try to buy it from a proper cellar. As is, I'd give it an 86-87.

  Medium ruby. Discrete nose of dark fruit with some vanilla. Enters the palate medium bodied with pronounced acidity. This is neither very flavorful nor does it have al lot of mid mouth stuffing. A typical commercial wine that serves as a reminder why the bloke in Sideways did not want to drink Merlot...

  Nice deep black cherry colour. On the nose, aromas of black fruit (cherries, blackberries and plums), red fruit (red currants) and a bit of toast, coffee and cloves. Wonderful perfume. On the palate, a frank attack with lots of fruit and tannin and a nice texture. Full-bodied. Same aromas as on the nose, but with some violets as well. A good concentration and length and a touch of acidity on the end. Should be good over the next 10+ years. Nice wine and a good discovery. Like Ronco dell Angelo, but serious! 91 today but should reach 92 and maybe 93 with a bit more bottle age.
  
  Belle robe cerise noire. Au nez, on y trouve des fruits noirs (cerises, mûres, prunes), un peu de fruit rouge (groseille rouge) et un peu de toast, café et girofle. Un beau parfum. En bouche, l'attaque est franche et fruitée avec une belle matière et une texture très pleine. Mêmes arômes qu'au nez avec en plus de la violette. Il y a des tannins mais le fruit est bien présent auquel s'ajoute en finale une belle vivacité. Bonne longueur et un beau vin. J'imagine qu'il peut joliment mûrir une bonne dizaine d'année. Beau vin et une bonne découverte. Le Ronco dell' Angelo, mais version sérieuse. 91 mais pourrait atteindre 92 ou 93 avec un peu d'âge.
