Best bottle of the bunch. Nuanced and had beautful cherry and cola notes. The older Testarossa bottlings in my opinions really show better than today’s offerings for my palate. All four of these bottles purchased at auction were terrific.

shared with pat at selkirk manor. i continue to prune the cellar of bottles with past due drink by dates. too much wine, too little time. i was hanging on to this one because the winemaker's longevity estimate was longer than community average. in this case, the winemaker proved to have the greater wisdom. no formal tasting notes. from memory, i recall a well structured wine that paired well with a beef dish. predominant red cherry aroma and impression on the palate. i have recently come to learn that santa lucia highlands is well suited to pinot noir where it is cultivated successfully by several producers. would look for this wine again. thanks to wtso for sourcing this bottle at an attractive price.

Nose reveals the wine. Big cherry nose and gobs of red cherry fruit, a hint of spice, and a wonderful finish. Not overly complex but a wonderful wine. I have two more that I hope will taste just as good.

This pinot noir is light medium red in color and very clear. The nose was full of strawberries and strawberry fields. Smooth and a medium thin body, it had flavors of cola, cherry and hints of graham.
