Pinot noir aromas on the dark side, in addition to earth and farmyard aromas. Not quite up to the 2012, which had more perfumed and seductive aromas. Intense and sweet fruit on the palate. Narrow, tender and delicate, with fine tannins.

Just scrumptious-- and a new profile after 7 bottles. Now, a richer, more sinewy yet elegant Gevrey with white pepper added to the beautiful fruit. Light red currant, raspberry and lingonberry suffused with a nice perfume on the palate and on the nose. While lighter weight, it is sufficiently elegant that the slightly spicy new aspect mixes in seamlessly. No decant needed. Drink now.

The wine ia clear, medium intense core and thin watery rim. Developing
Nose is clean, medium intense aromas of cherries, dark cherries, spices, violets, clove, developing
Palate is dry, medium+ acidity, medium ripe tannins, medium alcohol, body and flavour intensity, medium+ dry extract with aromas of redd berries, cherries, morelles, spices, oak, violets, medium finish
Well balanced with solid concentration, lacks som complexity and lenght. Drink now and next 3 years, very good quality, 89p

Duroche is a fine producer with youthful appeal. As noted 7 months ago, the wine is closing a bit and now just re-emerging. Tte nose is wonderfully simple yet elegant:starwberry and cherry with woody scents and a bit of earth. The color has deepened a little and the palate coaxes a lot of forest floor and brambly flavors with tannins shedding after 30 minutes. True dark red fruit is evident, but not in a sweet or sharply defined way. Definitely one to hold for 1-2 years. The early bottles were fresh and there seems to be enough stuffing to hope for a fuller experience in the future.

Good amount of oak influence, it kind of reminded me of a gran reserva rioja but lighter in fruit and mouthfeel.
