  • Juicy but not, it's soft but not soft, if -wine of the moment- is correct, because I cannot find a spec sheet on this... The Barbera and Grenache are adding the juiciness, " not soft " must be added by the Petite Sirah and Temprinillo, giving slight bite/grip and acidity respectively. Syrah adds to everything except maybe the acidity and then it introduces some inkyness. Read -wine of the moment's- review for tasting notes. I changed the drink by date, because this is still good at the end of 2019, and the color and clear rim show room to age. Yesterday I thought about it and want to raise the score on the pop and pour, but today syrah took over mellowing some of my favorite attributes. Syrah is a great wine tho- readjusted the score to a solid 89.

  • Surprisingly good considering the listed drinking window. Still some structure remaining, but I wouldn't hold it any longer! I enjoyed it with dinner. My husband and I discussed how to rate it and his comment was "way better than ordinary"...

  • This blend of Petite Sirah, Barbera, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Grenache represents a little bit of the best of everything red from California. The beautiful ruby red hue is only the start. The cherry aromas stand out the most, but you’ll sense the other black fruit as well. It may be a bit hot at first, but after half an hour it starts coming together. The herbal and raspberry flavors are quite nice along with a bit of peppery notes. It’s a medium bodied wine with moderate tannins and has a lengthy full finish. Not bad for a little bit of everything from California. Take a few more sips and just enjoy for the fun of it. Grab a few bottles, this one can be enjoyed now and you can stash a few bottles for later. Cheers!

  • If there was a vintage, I did not see it. This is a big, inky purple wine. Our neighbors brought it over next to the fire and it worked well for that. The nose has nice plums and black raspberries. Maybe some dark cherries. Some tannins on the palate. Seems to be some oak. Its tasty and drinks easy. Very enjoyable.
