Friday afternoon drinks at home. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of signature fragrant stems, strawberries, red plums, purple fruits. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet stems, strawberries, red plums, tinge of menthol and spice, inner Gevrey muscle. Long finish. Very good quality. Showing competent youthful elegance now. Should develop a more muscular Gevrey character as it develops.

The 2013 Dujac Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes is a flattering wine, much more charming than their 2009 and 2010 Combottes strangely given 2013 was a weak vintage. Glossy new oak toast and exotic spices, fresh rosemary and spice rack, juicy blueberries and gravel minerals. Smooth and in-depth. 2013 Outperformance. (90/100)

12/10/2016 - gilrbo Likes this wine:
3 Clos St. Jacques and 3 Rousseau's + 1 Dujac = 6 wines tasted blind: N. 5
Beautiful, natural, expressive, floral and citrusy. Sweet spices, like in a lebkuchen.
Fresh and lively, full of energy. Beautiful texture from the tannins.
WOTN for me.
Me: 2.5
Group: 11.5
