Community Tasting Notes (4) Avg Score: 90.4 points

  • Our final bottle poured a light golden yellow color- looks mature but not old- very appropriate for its age. A complex and evolving bouquet offers apple, pear, spiced lemon rind, ginger, fig, nuts and dried honeycomb. I spent nearly ten minutes putting my nose to the glass before I even sipped the wine. Medium-bodied, with the weight that comes from age and flavors of lemon curd, pear, mineral and more of the honeycomb. Paired beautifully with halibut. 93 pts for me, 92 for Domino. I think this is about as good as this is going to get- drink now.

  • Deep yellow color. Apple and fig with a subtle chemical undertone. Good fruit on the palate; nice weight and richness. There's a nice nutty quality that lingers on the finish. Perhaps not pristine, but enjoyable enough and paired nicely with halibut.

  • Pop and pour. Loads of green apple and citrus with excellent balance. Well done Paul.

  • Much more tropical than I expected, with notes of banana and melon on the nose and palate. Great weight on the attack, carrying through the midpalate and finish. Good acid. I'll hold this a few years yet and will expect it to add a point or two as it matures.
