Purchased another bottle of this for my subsequent birthday. For a vintage BdB in my market this is a very good deal. Carefully selected a bottle from further down in the box, below the cardboard divider, yet even so the color was darker, showing some aging. Sitting at room temperature cannot be good for these, and I should let the store know. All in all this still had remarkable acidity and was a very nice champagne, but that bruised apple, almost cider character that made it great is now on the cusp of being over the hill. If stored better these may yet go a long time, but sitting on a retail floor it has just about run its course. Drink now.

Drank on my birthday with spinach, shrimp, prosciutto pizza. Another excellent showing. Full flavored champagne, bursting with ripe to overripe apple, slight yeasty autolytic note, and adequate acidity.

NYE Bottle #1 and the best of the evening. Really excellent, and a good value for a vintage BdB GC champagne. Tons of ripe, bruised apple with good length on perfectly balanced acidity. Highly recommended.

Not a bad Saturday afternoon: Lemony and tart, but with some weight, very pleasant.
