The limestone pokes through in a brilliant acidic manner and cuts through the scotch tape/honeyed pear skin/styrofoam aromas, but the palate has a blip of honey before being cleaved in three by that samurai acid. Man this is great! And yes, that's pizza. Second time doing this pairing, and let only he/she who has tried the pairing cast the first stone--because it's one of the weirdest, most instant gratification pairings out there. The Chenin stands on top the tomato pretty squarely.

aromatically shy, but after couple hours, what an opening! classic chenin and complex nose, very little fruit, raging and addictive acidity, good rock, dried fruit, holding back a lot, really want to age to let that emerge, firm yumminess of acid in here-now hard to resist, however
