Kind of thin ruby color. Earthy aroma. Disappointingly dull on first sip, though some glass time helped. While it started out very meh, it turned out to be respectably pleasant, and the age likely helped. Not sure, though, if I'd seek this out again.

Fairly neutral nose with little fruit and limited comlexity. Noticeable alcohol on palate detracts from this wine. Not a classic dinner companion any more. Heat and licorice on finish. Poorly balanced wine; pergaps to "accommodate" the "American palate"

Medium body, pale ruby color. Very intense, red fruits forward aroma complements by cedar wood, tobacco and balsamic notes. Sour Cherry and blackberry palate followed by spicy but juicy finish. Silky, complex and balanced, fresh berries acidity and firm tannins. Food friendly, best match is rice dishes, tasted with staffed peppers. Open one hour ahead. Serve 16º - 20º. Drink now and five years, perhaps longer.

Tops in tonight's vertical 2013, 2014, 2015. Full bodied, great tannins.
