  • I don't believe the bottle was corked - didn't seem so but this wine has NOT aged well, it's nothing but alchohol - there is little to no nose, unlike the bottle I drank a couple years ago, it has no legs, the only remnant of the earlier wine that I liked is it's lovely golden color in the bottle, none of the nutty after taste remains. I was very disappointed as I had believed this wine would age very well. Now I'll just try blending it with some Cognac and Frangellico to see if I can restore some of the taste that it had and I liked a couple years ago...

  • Color of the wine was spectacular gold, very lively. However, at the first nose it was highly alcoholic so no additional aromas could be perceive, and we had to let it rest for an hour. The wine evolved, lost most of the alcohol and aromas to nuts started to emerge. Good resemblence to spanish sherry. At taste, walnut dominated at all times, and the wine had a short finale. I expected more of this wine. It was like having an average sherry, nothing spectacular.

  • Very different wine. I would not call it sweet. I am new to wine so I don't know all the lingo. It seems a bit harsh and "alcohol-ly" on the palate, but the finish is an amazing warm flood of hazelnut flavor.
