This wine is drinking beautifully at 7 years of age. Expressive, floral nose dominated by mango, fuzzy peach candy and apricot with notes of lychee, orange liqueur, and (oddly) some dill. In the mouth this wine is off-dry, syrupy and full-bodied, with its high alcohol completely hidden and integrated. Acidity is not noticeable on first impression but develops on the finish. Flavours of mango, lychee, tropical fruit, ripe peach and butterscotch. Sweetness lingers on the finish.

New Zealand / Australia Trip Dec 2014 / Jan 2015; 12/14/2014-1/8/2015 (Auckland, Martinborough, Christchurch, Sydney, Hunter Valley): Delicate lychee nose, not overly obvious. A bit oily in the mouth. More lychee but with some real minerality, fermented almost dry, quite long, wears the 14.5% alcohol well, lovely.
