"2016" Sydney International Wine Show - stewarding notes; 10/11/2015-10/15/2015 (Blue Mountains, NSW): {screwcap, 14.5%} This has a nod to the white pepper which characterised the preceding Squawking Magpie, but here there are proper sweet raspberry aromas to balance it out. Very fine nose. The palate is sweetly spicy with red shiraz fruit, medium-bodied, with medium chalky tannins, and great balance of structure in the mid-palate. Medium/long finish. Needs time to come together as it’s a bit disjointed now, but all the ingredients are here. Excellent.
