Color: A slight orange brown hue. Nose: Red berries, orange. Very nice! Mouth: There is an appetizing freshness. Medium bodied. This wine isn't tired at all. The next day I could taste cherries, too and I liked the wine even better hence 2 points up (before 88). This is really an elegant and special wine. Will be good in the next 5 years for sure.

The grapes are dried before fermentation like in Amarone hence the alc. level of 14.5% but very well hidden. Dried raisins, violets and cherries come to mind. As mentioned in my last tasting note on this wine it has an acidity level that might put some people off. I for one like it. The tannins have a good grip but are not offensive. This wine is off the beaten path and very original. Will survive more than 5 years from now.

Still going strong. But be aware: The acidity is a bit higher than usual. I suppose the drinking window is quite large: Probably to drink within the next 8 years. Usually a red wine is hard to match with cheese. I think this one is an excellent cheese wine.

Nose: First a touch of stinkiness. Cherries. Wild berries, too. After some aeration I can sense lilacs and green stems which I don't like. Mouth: Conistent with the nose. The Raboso Piave grape (Friularo di Bagnoli) is quite different from Cab. Sauv. or other well known varietals. It is quite acidic and has a "sweet" fruit core. But that core is really sweeter than in other wines. Evidently it is quite off the beaten path and for some folks most probably too much. A very good quality though. 1-2 points account for being original. 14.5% alc. but hardly noticeable.
