  Day two of our vertical tasting of the 2013, 2014 and 2015 vintages. Was concerned based on other reviews. Had let warm prior to my first sip on opening this time. Was more prepared and wasn’t expecting a fruit forward Pinot this time and sure enough, quite dry with light floral notes. But I do not think the loss of fruit notes this wine may have had in years past represents it is past its prime. There are some subtle notes which heavy fruit flavor would have obscured. Will let it breathe a bit and let you know what happens.
  
  So … conclusion is that it’s a good wine but it doesn’t rise to the level of the 2015. Unclear if the wine had peaked a couple years ago or if the 2015 was just better. Now we have the 2024 left to try.

  A few of the 2013 RCs are surprisingly not good, and this is one of them. Really lacking any fruit - a very bland almost tasteless wine. I rated prior bottles of this slightly higher a few years ago, so perhaps the fruit just disappeared over time.

  Lovely fragrant Pinot. Pretty ripe and rich, some cola, some cherry, almost mature, pretty soft with little tannins. Good finish.
