  • WSET Level 4 Course - WSET School; 9/6/2014-5/23/2015 (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Deep ruby colour. Some purple hints
    Nose: The nose is Clean and Developing, showing Medium intensity primary aromas of black plum, black cherry, red cherry; secondary aromas of vanilla, toast, smoke and tertiary aromas of earth.
    Palate: The wine is Dry in the mouth with a Medium level of acidity. It has Medium(+) grippy tannins and a Medium(+) Level of alcohol (13.50%). It has Medium(+) body and Medium(+) intensity primary flavours of black plum, black cherry, red cherry; secondary flavours of vanilla, toast, smoke and tertiary flavours of earth. The finish is Medium(+). It has grippy tannins. Ripe black fruits
    Overall: Good intensity and length but tannins stick out a bit.
    Conclusion: It is a Good quality wine. Can Drink Now but has Potential for Ageing Will age for 2 - 4 years, not sure it has enough acidity for longer ageing; Medium priced (£11.99)
