A very decent Napa cab. Probably at its peak now, but no rush to drink. Can be kept for another 3-4 years.

Happy Cabernet day!
Dense, powerful and elegant; with mixed berries, mixed peppercorns, truffles, caramel, black currant, coca dust and vanilla nuances.
Medium-plus smoky cinnamon finish with chocolate tannins and crisp acidity.
Among life's pleasures... Good food and delicious wine that complements it. Paired perfectly with a thick-ass Ribeye.

Consistent with previous notes but took about 1.5 hours to open up in the decanter. Old-world style, straight from Medoc or Graves. Linear, but balanced and well-structured. Acidity and tannins are nicely calibrated. This wine does not take itself too seriously - its a straight-shooter. Cassis, blackberries, plums, pencil lead, pipe tobacco, dark cherries, horse saddle, and wild herbs. Drink 2018-2024. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.
