Quite pale lime green color. Quite restrained nose with understated aromas of ripe citrus fruits, sweet apples and a little bit of petrol. The wine is surprisingly sweet-toned - almost medium-sweet - on the palate with rich fruit flavors of honeydew melon, sour apple candies, some grapefruit-driven citrus fruit bitterness and a hint of steely character. The wine is moderately high in acidity, yet it feels somewhat dull and flabby - the acidity really doesn't feel sufficiently high for the sweetness. The straightforward finish is crisp, tart and quite sweet with medium-long flavors of ripe citrus fruits, some ripe Granny Smith apples and a hint of steel.
Meh. A boring and simple Riesling that would probably feel just thin and austere without the sweetness - now it feels just medium-sweet and somewhat lacking in depth and finesse. Doesn't really pose any challenge even for an inexpensive Feinherb Kabinett Riesling. Pass.
