Grapes sourced from small, family growers in Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with the usual suspects of Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. 14% alcohol.
We very much enjoyed our visit to Fisher Vineyards. It was particularly heartwarming to learn of the “unity” of the parents with their three kids, who now all work together in the family business after brief sojourns at jobs in different industries. Sister Sledge’s dynamic, disco hit, “We are family”, was pulsating in my ears as my other senses prepared for The Noble Grape.
As a side note the family explains successful family integration better when writing, “While Fisher Vineyards continues to build on the family's first generation successes that embrace the former philosophy, our second generation sets out to explore the later in UNITY.”
Just like the necessity for fine blending and complimentary integration one finds in an excellent bottle of wine!
Dark, purple on the eye demonstrating the power of collaboration. Whether the deep, dark liquid conjures up tantalizing thoughts of the gyrating Sledge sisters on stage or the engaging Cameron Fisher as our winery guide, I encounter a very simple, happy feeling inside. Pleasant.
After one hour of breathing in the bottle, I enjoyed the energetic assault of dark cherries, plums and a hint of sage on my oh so delighted olfactory organs. One feels a sense of strength emanating from the lively aromas.
A rich offering of blueberries, roasted coffee, cherries and chocolate all rush together in a soft, medium bodied and, somewhat sadly, fairly short finish. Frankly, the Sisters started off pumping and thumping but finished with a relaxed whimper. A disco night followed by an easy-going slumber. I had hoped for more vibrancy at the end, but I snuggled comfortably with my memories...and pillows.

Delicious after 15 minutes, even better after 45. Deep flavor with tannins subsiding the longer the bottle is open. Strawberry and leather with a long lasting flavor. Drink now

A solid 90+ wine. Great balance, good complexity, wonderful flavors, medium long finish. Better than average $50 cabs at mid $30's price. Probably will not improve, but should maintain present high level for up to 10 years.

Needs some time or decanting, only started to come around on the third day after opening.
