Wow! Whereas the '13 bourgogne blanc was like perfect rainwater slipping over your tongue, the auxey takes that sensation and layers it with a richer-but-still-featherweight mouthfeel, stony/nutty Meursault-y character, a dollop of apple and peach, and tons of lemony acidity on the finish.

Not sure why such a low CT score on this one. I loved it. Beautifully balanced and rich and luscious. Evolved in the glass as temp changed but best when chilly.

Wines at Smaller Meals and Between Meals; 6/20/2017-7/2/2017 (Burgundy): Popped and poured with lunch. Very reductive with apple and pear. Recorded 1/2 the bottle and refrigerated, then revisited 12 hours later. Reduction gone, fruit riper and fleshier with greater length, but also more acidity on finish. Obviously so much better.

3rd bottle in 2 months. Needs some air to get rid of sulphur. But quite good when that happens. Drinking delicious.
