  • Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of medium lemon colour, with watery rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon and grapefruit, green fruit of green apple, stone fruit of peach, oak notes of vanilla, herbaceous notes of grass, mineral notes of stony, floral notes of acacia, maturity notes of mushroom. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium in alcohol, with medium (-) body and medium (+) intensity flavours of citrus fruit of lemon and grapefruit, green fruit of green apple, oak notes of vanilla, maturity notes of honey. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Mercurey with an intense nose showing very good complexity, with a wide range of aromas, with nice citrus and oaky characters supplemented with plenty of minerality, grass and white flowers, and some maturity notes. On the palate the wine has good acidity, robust and in balance, with good concentration but comparatively a much weaker complexity on flavours, though it still got a very long finish to wrap up. It is ready to drink now and not intend for further ageing.
