  shared with pat at selkirk manor. tasted before selling bottles to Peter F. to make sure it was OK. We had previously served the 2012 at Ellen's rehearsal dinner and the 2013 at the wedding. at the time i thought that the 2013 was a little fuller bodied and would perhaps enjoy greater longevity. tasting the 2012 tonite, i think it is a pretty close call. perhaps without the distractions of lights, noise and talking to guests, i was able to pay closer attention to the wine. in any event, i am very pleased with the wine which is well made and offers great value. my taste buds are not particularly sensitive to spice. otherwise, i agree with gary's description, "loaded with rich, berry fruit, spice and velvety tannins". thanks again gary, for adding to the success of the wonderful affair for our daughter.
