  • Popped and poured at cellar temp. All business on the nose with restrained lemony fruit, smoke, vanilla and slight nuttiness. Very moderate oak, which is nice. Quite mouth-filling with very respectable viscosity, this is no featherweight despite its lowly appellation. Acidity does not stick out but it is definitely there to provide appropriate lift and drive. Concentrated, firm and powerful with a spicy finish. Deliciously savory despite being fairly ripe-fruited and while on the rich side maintains a good balance. Very good for its level.

  • Excellent, classy Bourgogne. Touch of lemon and flowers. Viscosity unusual for a Bourgogne. Depth. Very good texture. Round, smooth. Fine. Could easily pass as a Puligny.

  • I think the latest tasting notes on this one says it all.
This is really impressing for being "just" a Bourgogne Blanc. Less oak than the other bottlings but the Sauzet style shines through.

The nose was a bit muted upon opening and needed some 30 minutes to really open up. It shows aromas of bruised yellow apple, lemon zest, citrus oil, buttered nuts, honey comb, fresh herbs, crushed rock and sea breeze.

Rather dense and concentrated on the palate with ripping high acidity and medium(-) body. It's hard to put down in words but there's something with the structure of this wine that really gets me going. More fatty nuttiness coming through on the palate with baked yellow apple, citrus oil and creamy lees notes. Long, lingering nutty finish.

Starting to hit the zone right now but I wouldn't mind hold these ones for another year or two.

  • Tight, bright, compact and lean. Some preserved lemon and white peach. Very flinty and finishes with a big puff of chalk.

  • Incredible wine. Hard to believe this is "just" a bourgogne blanc. Definitely punches above its weight class. Lovely texture on this wine. Clean and delicious, plenty of lemon and citrus on the palate. Tons of acid and minerality. Definitely a winner.
