Love this wine. It has an evolving allure that's fascinating. This bottle--maybe because of its age--is showing gorgeous aromatics with spices, dry earth, and talc on the uplifted nose. Palate is very dry with bright acidity and a bit of astringency. The puckering texture is very food friendly, captures a dried fruit note, and wonderfully balances the uplifted nose. Never-ending finish brings in smoky, cigarette ash, and tahini notes.
This isn't a plush, fruit-forward hedonistic wine. (I like those wines.) This one is a knock-your-socks-off day old-fashioned wine. Think pre-international-style Nebbiolo. It's a shame that it doesn't shine as brightly without the kind of aging that most people can't give it. I would buy a yearly case for the cellar.

Tried this to see what this fairly rare grape was all about. Medium in body and palate, with red-berry flavors in a medium-ruby color. Offered up nice aroma, some earthy notes on the palate and a medium finish. Reminded me of a middle-of-the road Bierzo, and overall enjoyable. Would substitute for a fruity pinot noir or nebbiolo in food pairing.

I'm really liking this complex, spicy, and textural wine. Sweet, ripe cherries, toffee, and spice on the nose. Palate brings an earthiness and a graphite texture over americano coffee and very ripe cherries. Bright acidity. Long, elegant finish. Food friendly and delicious.

pleasant enough, a bit on the tart and short side. Good density to the red fruit flavors. Would be good with cured meat tapas type of stuff.
