Some pinot and chardonnay at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): Slightly nutty nose with a bit of almond and almond. The palate has a bit of bitterness but it works quite well here. Acidity adds lots of freshness to this wine, and despite the slight nutty qualities, this is still drinking very youthfully. Not too funky either.

Golden straw color. Aromas of pine nuts, creme brûlée, salinity...definitely shows the oxidative style of this wine, yet possesses substantial freshness nonetheless (especially compared to their Savagnin, which essentially drinks like a sherry). Decent acid on the palate. Not sure I would seek it out, especially for the price around here ($25+), but it's an interesting experience. Points are difficult to assign since I don't much frame of reference for this style of wine so take this with a grain of salt.

Bourdy Tasting - Wine 4:
Par-for-the-course, exactly as it should be, and expected. Clean, with underlying smoke (volcanic-like) notes. It should last for quite a while.
