  A private lunch (Restaurant Inter Scaldes ***, Kruiningen, Netherlands): A blend of 53% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 17% Pinot Meunier, 50 year old vines, fermented in oak, non-malo, aged sur lattes for 11 years under bouchon de Liège, disgorged February 2017, dosage 4 gr/l, production 6,096 bottles and 367 magnums. Wonderfully rich and Burgundian but elegant and refined, fresh and very dry but with a ripe and rounded mouthfeel, complex, harmonious, seamless, intense but subtle flavours, impeccable balance, excellent length. Stunning.
