Decanted briefly. Earthy base with spice of vanilla and liquorish. Extracted and ripe fruit of cherry and cassis. The palate intense, still mouthcoating tannin, ok balance but a slightly bitter finish. This is aging really well and will need another 2-4 years to reach its peak I reckon.

My last of these, and similar to previous notes. These wines really need time to show what they have. I remember having other vintages of this too early and they were tight and unyielding, but about 10 years starts to show what is possible. This is thick, with oodles of earthy red fruit. The real magic is a beautifully balanced chalky dryness on the finish which brings so much class. The sense of terroir is unmistakable too. I prefer this to probably any Brunello at a similar price-point and maturity.

Pretty much same notes as a month or so ago, liked it then so brought it to our favorite restaurant in Florida and it did not disappoint. Now, it goes on pause for a year or two.

How can anyone here say this is ready or in peak drinking window? This is clearly not ready. Killed it too early because some people here suggested it would be ready. Be aware: do NOT drink now! Wait at lest +5 years! CellarTracker was no good info here suggesting this would be ready. Please! do no drink now! Wait at least 5+ years!
