Brought to temp around 30 min before serving. Crystal clear light golden color. Off the charts aromatics. Citrus zest, mineral & florals. Bright, focused palate. Lighter bodied & quite approachable. This enters with citrus & some salinity, but some more exotic notes emerge as well. The acidity here balances the fruit perfectly, but also adds a stunning texture. Apparently this is from some extremely old vines in Bien Nacido. I never thought I'd be in the market for domestic Melon, but I'm glad I bought these. Excellent.

93 Points? I can see you scratching your heads. "Is it really as good as that?" Yes, it is. If I'd have tasted this blind I would have easily mistaken it for a Muscadet or perhaps a well-crafted Pinot Blanc. Lively and charming, the Lieu Dit Melon hails from vines planted in the 1970s in the Santa Maria Valley. Stainless fermented it's fresh and crisp with inviting aromas of peach, white flowers and wet stones. But really it's just beautiful in the mouth, with pitch-perfect acidity tinged with Fleur de Sel. 12.4% ABV

I sorta can't believe how good this is, and it must have just been bottled. Killer nose, full of refined and tart orchard and citrus fruits, saline and green notes, and then on the palate it as real presence, and a filled-out completeness even though it's light as a feather. Great length. Just a great wine.
