100% Verdelho, from Ribeira da Janela, from different years of harvest and with an average age of 10 years. Vinification of open spout with fermentation control and temperature.
The precious heritage left by previous generations to age in our cellars, made this wine an excellent nectar to be enjoyed simple as an appetizer, accompany an exquisite soup, a bittersweet entry or fresh tropical fruits.
Oenology: Ivo Couto.
Color: Amber with golden nuance and orange reflections.
Aroma: Citrus and bouquet of intense and complex, ethereal wood with iodine notes, nuts and spice.
Proof: Semi-dry, acidity and well structured body with balanced sweetness and firm tannins. Notes of honey, toasties, nuts and some spice.
Aging: In oak barrels of 650 liters.

Madeira Pilgrimage; 2/1/2016-2/4/2016 (Madeira): More honey on the nose, richly floral with notes of orange marmalade. Fresh and vibrant on the palate, rich orange and yellow raisin fruit but the freshness makes it seem almost dry. Balanced with hints of dried flowers and smoke.
