  • Double Decanted for about 45 min and consumed in a 2 hours span with aged Fillet Mignons and Risotto porcini from Giovanni’s.

This wine is what a great Napa Valley Cabernet is supposed to be. Big, bold, dense, full of life, complex, fruit forward without crossing the line in sweetness, phenomenal mid palate and LOOOONG finish!!!

I believe this wine is drinking at peak now but should remain at the top of curve for at least 5-8 more years.

I’ll hold my last bottle for a couple of years (at least) just for the fun of it…

    Drink or hold.

  • 10 years young and still going strong. Perfectly balanced wine showing it’s Dr Crane pedigree! This wine easily has 10 more years left on it. Dark magenta color, blackberry, boysenberry, dark cherry with a hint of pepper / spice. Beautiful, velvety texture with an extra long finish. Hope you have this one on your cellar! 98+

  • This wine is drinking beautifully, but still has time. Decanted for an hour. Smooth and refined, with tons of dark fruit. deep purple in the glass. Long finish. Tasted after three hours and it didn't fade. Cork in good shape.

  • 90 min decant. Very deep dark magenta color. Black currant, blueberry, sweet raspberry, oregano, fresh mint, cocoa powder and wildflowers on the complex, elegant nose. Smooth, sultry, spicy, full bodied palate, with nice lingering acidity. Firm tannins on the long finish. Very well integrated.

  • I had this wine blind, my GF picked it, decant it for around 30 minutes, placed it back into the bottle and consumed 3 hours after with a 28 days aged Filet Mignon and baked potatoes. The wine is a classic BIG Napa Cabernet, I was able to felt the Napa fruit, the Alpha Omega style and was super close to the year, what I was wrong was vineyard, I thought it was from To Kalon instead of Dr. Crane. Anyway, the body is bold, dark chocolate blended with smoke, loooong finish and magisterial ratio between oak, fruit, alcohol, acidity. I see this wine getting even better despite is delicious now.
