  • Gave it a 45 minute decant given the age of this bottle. Has been well over a year since had consumed a bottle from this vintage and this was last one in the cellar. IT WAS OUTSTANDING!!! Very smooth and silky with the usual cherry and raspberry flavors with that hint of spice on the back. Has a nice long finish and has been just a wonderful wine to enjoy over the last 5 years. On to other vintages as the Lutum part of the cellar dwindles.

  • Gave it a 20 minute decant and it was ever but as good as the last bottle in February 2021. Has continued to age nicely and was extremely smooth. Could taste the red raspberry and cherry and it had a lovely finish. Had a hint of spice on the backend. Will savor the last bottle of this vintage until sometime in 2023 and it’ll be interesting to see how 2014 & 2016 vintages compare.

  • Prior bottle was only five months ago, so my notes were very similar. Red raspberry, floral and spice notes on the nose. Medium bodied with the same combination of red raspberry and red cherry upfront, but they felt a touch more integrated than previously. Mid-body reminded me more of my bottle from a year ago (as opposed to the one from May 2021) as the depth and complexity were in a better state. Red berries, tart red cherry, spices and vanilla on the backside and through the finish. Overall, some positive bottle variation here, particularly in terms of overall balance as the spice and fruit notes were more harmonious. Drink by end-of-year 2023 still seems reasonable as the wine will still show well after that time, but not at the level it's at today.

  • Prior bottle was nearly seven months ago and my notes were generally consistent. Red raspberry, floral, spices and earth notes on the nose. Medium bodied with red raspberry upfront, tempered by more rounded red cherry. Mid-body didn't have quite the depth that my prior bottles showed;small step back there. Backside continues to show red berries, lightly tart red cherry, spices and minerals. Spice notes were a touch more prominent here as compared to my prior bottle. Overall, still showing quite well, but drinking over the next 18 months is recommended as additional cellar time won't bring any further positive evolution.

  • Decanted about 20 minutes. Wine as aged wonderfully although it seemed a little heavier than I remember it being with previous bottles. Solid fruit with a nice long finish. Will enjoy the last several bottles during 2021z
