  My first experience with this fairly obscure Swiss varietal. Started off with a nose that reminded me of a Syrah with a bacon fat impression, cherry and a metallic tinge. The palate is a little flabby but not too extreme, with little acidity as well. The similarity to a Syrah does not carry over to the palate, where dark fruit rules along with a light minerality. Full bodied with a longer finish, an interesting varietal.
