  • 13% alcohol. Diam5 closure. Poured a glass 15mn ahead as I remembered the wine to be quite tight the last time. Pale golden colour of cristalline purity.
The nose shows some complexity with yellow plum added to the dominant floral aspect. Very vivid on the palate, bordering on sharp, which is perhaps a feature of the vintage (certainly at this estate); otherwise the mouth mirrors the nose, resulting in a pretty good Chardonnay of the high pitched variety. In perfect condition too.

  • 13% alcohol. Diam5 closure. Pale lemon colour with an appealing luminous quality.
Lovely nose of white flowers with some lanolin showing upon warming up. Very elegant and strangely reminiscent of a good Graves like Clos Floridène. The mouth is initially pretty Chablis-like (no complaint) but it develops into a rounder wine, still without any excess fat.
Very good in absolute terms and quite superb value for money given that I remember paying 10€ (12€ including VAT) for this bottle en primeur. Price has increased, but worth checking out again.
PS: looking back at my 2017 note, the wine has improved immeasurably since then. Looks more and more like a repeat purchase.

  • 13% alcohol. Synthetic (reconstituted) cork. Just delivered last week. Pale colour. The nose is pleasingly flowery, although not very intense. The mouth is probably one step behind, as it suffers from some thinness and acidity bordering on the excessive. That being said, the flavours that are there are very pure. It will be interesting to see if this calms down over time, or alternatively to revisit this wine in a riper vintage.
In any case this is good value for money, as it is considerably cheaper than most generic white Burgundies.
