Brought to E&K's for eclipse. Wow, time has done wonders for this. It was really smooth with lovely herbaceous notes on both nose and palate. The rough edges are all gone. Have one left. 93/94

This has mellowed and improved notably since my previous try 5 years ago. There is still lots of lively fruit, but the tannins are mostly mellowed out and there are some nice herbal notes on the finish. It still isn't seamless but has come a long way. Should pair nicely with red meat. CT drinking window ended 2022, but I pushed my window end back to 2024. I think these will still be good for a couple years, but not sure they will get better than they are now. Should drink my other two in the next year or so

I opened and decanted for two and a half hours prior to dinner. It did taste different then the bottle I had to PNP a few weeks ago. Dark fruit with hints of coffee on the nose. The palate was dark berries, plum, fig, and coffee. The finish was moderate to long. Served with the leftovers from the last turkey I made. Last night at 91+

Well I finally found these is my office basement and decided to take one to Steve's club for lunch. They decanted for us and we let it sit awhile before slowing drinking. The nose is all fruit. The palate is blackberry, dark cherry, red current and hints of tobacco. The dark cherry dominates the finish. A nice bottle of wine from a tough year.

Big hit at dinner party. Lush for a 2011. Better than almost all the Napa cabs I’ve had from thag vintage.
