  • This one is a powerhouse! For a 19 year old magnum, it had brick only at the edges, and was not nearly as aged-looking as wines I've had half its age. To be honest, this one could have benefitted by waiting another 5-10 years. But in spite of not being at its peak, it showed beautifully. Complex nose of earth and barnyard, rich and full in the mouth, and a long lingering finish. Only question now is, do I buy another magnum to sit on for 10 years?

  • We had a bottle of this wine on my birthday. The wine is peaking and is just delicious, classic burgundy. The nose has the scent of sweet, ripe black, jammy fruit. The taste is filled with ripe plums and prunes with a beautiful oriental spice.

  • We had this wine on Mother’s Day and it was Barbara’s favorite of the evening. The nose is rich with jammy fruit and mushrooms. The taste explodes with earth wild mushrooms, prunes, plums and casis. The acid is resolved resulting in a very balanced taste. The wine is near or at its peak. Drink-up over the next year or two. It won’t get much better.
