I wanted to buy some of this, as it was just fantastic. I was shocked that this was 100% syrah, as I swore I got some of those viognier aromatics. Perhaps there was deft application of oak. in any case, this was just a wonderful cote Rotie, with fantastic notes of pine, sweet red fruit, and amazing complexity. Good acidity, and a nice bit of structure on the close. Perhaps more modern in style.
