  • A terrific Grenache - it is a great shame that Dan Standish, the winemaker does not make this wine anymore. More Chateauneuf-du-Pape than Cotes du Rhone as a reference point. Very closed upon opening and almost appearing to be thin, it took a good 3 hours to open up. But when it did, boy, you are transported to another world. Not at all jammy unlike many of the other Barossa Grenache, it is savoury, full of spice, plum, herbs, floral notes and gravel. Oak was well restrained and beautifully supporting the wine.

    Drink now or 5+ years.
