On the second night. Deep black cherry colour with a thin ruby hue. Hot tar dominates the aroma, hard to detect anything else. Blackberry, blueberry and plum. Bitter chocolate, some herbs. Full body, a bit smoother on the first night. Balanced smooth tannin, acidity is a bit sharp. Definitely better on the first night.

This wine is now starting to show a bit of maturity. Colour is dark red with a red/black core and ruby red rim. The nose offers quite lush fruit - blackberry, dark cherry and plums with some oak and a listed, honeysuckle and apricot character from the Viognier (which is only 5%). The palate is quite full bodied with rich dark fruits, gamey, smoky meat and a touch of honeysuckle, with white pepper and clove. The oak isn't prominent but does give a grainy character and some cedar and tar.
The wine will still keep for some years and should develop a bit more savoury tones. A very good wine for its price.

A very well balanced and structured wine. Viognier is evident in the way this Shiraz seems tamed and almost elegant; more perfumed and softer. Not that the Shiraz character is absent - its definitely the main man here. Lovely fruit, muted peppery accents, well weighted palate. Overall an enjoyable wine that is drinking well now to 2020. Would i buy again? U betcha! 5CC DCBA

A few thing legs. Ruby coloured with just touch of earth as one would expect for a 4 year old vino. Plum on the nose. Blackcurrants and hint of pepper. Medium length palate. Medium to full bodied. Most enjoyable. I find this a really reliable good value wine.
