A Ben Glatzer wine, and smells like it. Has the evergreen thing about it in quite a delightful way, the Cabernet is what is really doing business here I am being told and that is the case. Not Coonwarra but Coonwarra esque I am being told.

The typical Shiraz-fruit aromas are balanced out with a peppery note in the finish, giving a good length to the wine. Considering the price range, this is a re-buy for me.

52% Shiraz, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon. Smoke and candied green, eucalyptus. interesting level of complexity for the category. cake-y. spice on the finish, helps to balance out the sweet ripe fruit up front. Nick Keukenmeister from Heartland says that the spice comes from the cooler aspect to Langhorne Creek. 5pm cool winds from Antartica blow in. Warm days, and very cool nights. Oldest Cabernet vines in the world are in Langhorne Creek, FYI. Own-rooted. Up to 120 year old Cabernet.

Ripe, somewhat sweet black fruits, good acidity, could do with more tannin. Somewhat minty, herbal - good spice notes. Pretty good QPR
