  • Fresh notes of citrus, stonefruit, some steely minerality. It's lighter-medium bodied with medium+ acidity adding a lot of freshness. Medium length. A lighter fruit-forward Chardonnay that is all about freshness. Easy-drinking and fruity.

  • Piemont Tour; 11/20/2015-11/22/2015 (Monforte, Serralunga, Barolo, Barbaresco): Einfacher, säurebetonter Weisswein ohne grosse aromatische Vielfalt. Spritzig, einfach, spassig... aber nicht mehr.

  • A simple basic level Chardonnay: the grapes were picked in 19.9.2014 and the wine was bottled in 30.9.2014. Production 12,000 bottles, of which 4,000 are sold in the neighboring village of Monforte d'Alba.

Youthful, limpid green color. Youthful, aromatic and slightly green nose with sweet, expressive and very primary aromas of pear marmalade candies, ripe pear, some banana and that general estery fruit character of a young wine. Ligh, fruity and refreshing palate with high acidity. Very primary, fruity and youthful flavors of sweet apple, aromatic herbs, some tropical yellow fruits, a little freshly cut pear and hints of banana. Short but refreshing, acid-driven finish with flavors of sweet, ripe apple, some herbal bitterness and hints of fruit gum candies.

A nice, simple and straightforward sipper. So primary it might be hard to pinpoint as Chardonnay, but it does not matter at 6€. Nothing serious, but priced accordingly. A fun little bistro wine.
