Dark purple color. Nose of casis, red fruit and vanilla. Tannins provide a nice backbone to this wine. Drink or hold for short term. Nice QPR Merlot that, while no one would mistake it for Cabernet, holds up well.

Blind Pairings Tasting - Which Bottle Costs More? (Casa Golferchris, NW Suburbs, Chicago): Blind tasted alongside 01 Firestone Reserve Merlot. This wine has lost some of its fruit and complexity from previous tasting. Tasted weak and simple when tasted alongside a bigger merlot. Glad this was my last bottle, probably won't purchase again.
