An easy afternoon with close friends (@ PdV): Dark berries and smoke in the bouquet. On the palate a sweet start with vanilla, well dosed oak, firm acidity and sticky tannin. A lot of sweet impressions. The wine is still in its infant stage but already delicious. 94 - 95+

2 hour double decant and this revealed deep, dark aromas of blackberry, plum, cedar and tobacco leaf which led to a fresh, ripe, dark red fruited and earthy textured palate that faded effortlessly. 94+

Road testing new Zalto glasses. Initially a Coravin pour, but the cork came out later (which might tell a story) and briefly in a decanter. Nice wine, wonderful nose. Good tension, medium+ bodied, black fruit, tannins feel more resolved.
Perhaps entering “the zone”? 94-96 for me
