An easy afternoon with close friends (@ PdV): Deep bouquet with dark berries, cassis, licorice, dark chocolate and a pleasant dose of oak. Same on the palate, firm acidity and tannin, a slight touch of sweetness. Beautiful wine already, but still too young. Will show more elegance and finesse around 2030 I suppose. For now 93 – 94+

A 3 hour double decant revealed wonderfully pure aromas of blackberry and mossy, mushroom tones that led to a silky, saturated, blackberry and mineral driven flavors that maintained both tension and freshness through the long-lasting finish. 96+(+)

My final bottle peaks with a 95 rating. Remarkable complexity for its midweight, elegant body. Initial impression of smoke quickly dissipates in favor of currant, herbs, graphite, bramble, dried red fruit, pomegranate, and dried flowers. That's a lot of descriptors merited by a terrific, sophisticated wine for the vintage.

Structured and refined showing notes of blackberry, flower, earth, licorice and spice. Very delicate in style but well structured. Medium bodied and still quite a bit of fined grained teeth staining tannins. Long finish. NI:3, FI:22, FC:8, B:4, L:5
