Had this after and alongside a 2005 Turley Ueberroth Zinfandel. It was stunning to see how this Bordeaux felt very flat compared to the lively, yet much older, Zinfandel. It was disappointing consuming it in this fashion.

Surprisingly approachable - although I generally find LP a bit more accessible than most second growths.
Nose has lovely purple fruits, a bit of leather and mocha with a floral touch. Nice balanced palate, pure blueberry and blackberry fruits, hints of cured meat, spices and a mineral finish add complexity. Medium intensity, with sneaky good length. This is not about power, but all about the balance and poise.
Early in the drinking window with a decant and food, so don’t hesitate to try one if you have a case, but potential scope to improve further to a 94 with time. Good QPR.

Medium+ nose intensity with notes of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, toast, spices. Medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Long finish. Decanting 3 - 4 hours ahead.

The Holidays With Wine (Home is where the cellar is): Upon open, I felt regret for plucking it out of the cellar too soon. But it picked up considerable steam over time – hold this one although not bad now either. Observed notes of espresso, tobacco, dark red fruits.

Still too young to show its full potential. Probably need another other 5 years.
