  Love these wines. Such a secret hidden gem in Napa. Drink now though.

  Wine was enjoyable upon opening ( at this point I would have rated it a 92) but continued to expand its complexity for hours. Deep and dark surprisingly without amber edging normally found in aged wines. Nose was a bit closed and 1 dimensional at first but it began to bloom and continued to do so to the end of the bottle. Oak, black cherry, blackberry, and that Rutherford dust were evident to start. Additional layers of flavors continued to show up as time passed and the wine rivaled many of the great wines I've had the luck to taste. There was some light tannic dryness evident early which faded into the background giving the wine a fuller presence. As deep and dark as the wine looked it surprised me with the subtleness of the layers of flavor and intensity. Nicely balanced at about 90 minutes and just a joy to drink and to sniff. Did not expect this level of complexity and nuance.
