  • open for an hour before consuming over another 1-2 hours. Initially some bitter elements but this open and rounded over the course of the evening. Obvious to me this needs more time to mellow out and reveal the honeysuckle notes i love. Eventually quite enjoyable and not showing the sharp bitter edge. Good future

(Nigl Grüner Veltliner "Privat" Senftenberger Pellingen) ($57.00) You grill a veggie. Yum! The flesh is sweet but the skin is charred. You like it that way. Will you accept it here? Iris in its funky form, and here (at last) is the lavish vinosity to mitigate the (over)ripeness; great big length, seriously impressive if not profound; the finish is exotic, full of funky flowering field, and a hint of jalapeño. +
