No formal notes. Really disappointed with this wine. This wine never improved, it got worst. was hoping it would improve on day two but it didnt. Glad the wife helped drinking this stuff. Wont buy again.

Decanted for 1 hour. At first a little closed. Really opened up in an hour of decanting. On the nose, spice and blackberries. Some hints of plum and blue berries. Slight oak. I do get a hint of caramel after sitting in the glass. On the palate, I got a silky feel in the mouth. Alot of red currents, berries and cherries.Slight acidity and moderate tannins. Alittle oak. I was hoping for more at the price point. Alittle let down. I will hold my last bottle to see if it improves.

Dinner at MacMurray Ranch: Nose of juicy black and red cherries, raspberry jam, along with tobacco, roses and wet earth. A full and velvety approach on the palate, bold, almost aggressive, but some moderate acid for balance. The fruit tends toward the jammy red currants and raspberries, but the fruit is tinted with notes of rhubarb, red clay, caramel and coffee. Long, rich, warm, even exotic. A richer style but very pretty – this will improve for a few years. Aged 10 months in 1/3 new French oak.
