This was great at pnp with plums, purple fruits, and pepper, with fairly integrated, dusty tannins. Not a small wine (its Petite Sirah) but very balanced and completely approachable. Day 2, it had actually gone down hill some and lost some of the fruit and the nice mouthfeel created by the tannins. Based on this bottle, I'd actually say drink up over the next couple years. Really good PS and one of the better Limerick Lane wines I've had in a while.

Popped and poured and followed over a day and a half. I like Limerick Lanes wines across the board, but this PS was just ok. Fairly muted nose with some black fruit and spices, and pretty one note on the palate with pepper, black fruit, and some smokey tar. Not a horrible wine....just not super exciting. And this is coming from someone who's a PS fan (since I know many peeps would describe all Petite Sirah that way). Still some tannins evident on the finish but definitely not overwhelming, so maybe some improvement over the next few years?? I'll hold my last bottle and find out.

2 hour decant. Wonderful nose of blueberry, and bakers chocolate. First taste had the same flavors but with some plum and pepper. Mild tannins for a 2013. Had with a beef strip steak and was a perfect match. Nice wine.

Sadly, only 79 cases produced... So much intrigue and staying power, with black fruit at the vanguard. Long and silky profile that shows depth over layers. There's some tar, raunchy blackberry, chalky rock and melted strawberry candy. Savory acidity. I'm sorry, but age will only help the intergration. Decanted twice over three hours; tasted at the tasting room and it was opened the day before. Drink 2017 - 2028.
