Drank a bottle of this in 2017 and didn't get it - now I do.
Opened, but did not decant, 5 hours before dinner. Dark red color. On nose, sweet tobacco, sweet/sour cherry (+ orange rind, dried tomato and coffee grinds with air), black currants. Medium+ body, medium+ acidity, medium tannins and very long finish - exquisite balance and nice complexity. 91+ on opening, 93+ with air. Will start buying this wine in new vintages.

Very fine wine that has lasting power. Lots of red fruit packed into bottle that reminded us of the finest Chiantis we've tasted. We eight years of bottle aging (five with us), it showed superior depth of flavor and integration. We drank it over three evenings with similar impressions.

This is better integrated than a bottle opened three years ago. Red and black fruit with savory spice and a note of orange peel on the medium to long finish, with moderate to strong tannins and good acidity. This was a good value at under $50. The Cellartracker drinking window looks about right.
