  • Field blend of white and red varieties including Carricante, Inzolia, Catarratto, Nerello Mascalese, Alicante and Nerello Cappuccio. I believe it's mostly Nerello Mascalese. Cloudy light purple. Out of the fridge, it was all radishes with some cranberries on the nose. Palate was a whole lot of radishes, beets, and veggies. Maybe a hint of cherries and cranberries. Also a bit of mild spritz in the mouthfeel. After being open for > 1 hr, cherries/strawberries/ cranberries come to the fore with a hint of radishes and other vegetables. In the mouth, high acid, tart cranberries, radishes, beets, broccoli, celery and other green veggies. Minerally with tannins kicking in toward the end. Still juicy with a long finish of cranberries, bark, celery and radishes. Just fascinating as the wine keeps on changing flavors. Really interesting and fun! 13% abv
