  • Effervescent and a distracting funk on the palate. Unintended secondary ferment in the bottle?

  • piercing, intense, austere. probably the most dry tasting wine from memory. nose subtle and ever-changing to me, from floral to vegetal. long finish, evident quality

  • This 2nd bottle is MUCH better then the 1st and drinking how I originally thought this wine should be drinking - no distracting fizz whatsoever at all (see CT 6/10/2016 TN on this wine). Based on this 2nd bottle this wine is actually quite a decent QPR wine. Probably a couple years of appropriately stored good cellar life left here. Off dry, pale yellow, reasonable mouth feel and a longer aftertaste then previously remembered. Lean fresh citrusy nose with pleasant but simple flavors of clean fresh peach, pear citrus and a hint of lemon grass. Definitely recommend this wine based on how this 2nd bottle is drinking.

  • Unsure about how I feel about this bottle. Given what it is I really wanted to like it but at least with this 1st bottle there was a low level of a lambrusco-type fizz present which I do not think belongs in a dry white wine like this, was a distraction and for me really detracted from what is otherwise no doubt a pretty good little gv - without that I would have hit the "I liked" option, not the "neutral" option and probably given an 87-88 range rating. Not a particularly good QPR wine IMHO. Taking the fizziness out of the assessment the wine is otherwise quite decent - off dry, pale yellow, short aftertaste, citrus and a warmer papaya or mango note on the nose with pleasant but simple flavors of white peach, pear and citrus fruit. Based on this 1st bottle right now I do not really recommend this wine - hoping for a better experience with the other bottles.
